What motivates you to serve on the board for Rice County Area United Way? When I was asked to step in as the workplace coordinator for Shattuck-St. Mary’s, I quickly discovered just how many incredible things Rice County Area United Way does for our community. Joining the board felt like the natural next step—and I’m so grateful I did. It’s deeply rewarding to be part of an organization that makes such a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
What’s one of your favorite places in Rice County? It’s a tie between River Bend Nature Center and Crack of Dawn. River Bend is such a peaceful, beautiful space—it’s easy to forget not every community has access to something like that. It’s a true local treasure. And Crack of Dawn? The food and coffee are fantastic, but it’s the conversations I’ve had there with friends and family that make it one of my favorite spots.
Share what excites you most about our United Way. What excites me most is the potential—the incredible opportunity United Way has to grow and deepen its impact throughout Rice County. I’m honored to play even a small role in that journey during my time on the board.
