Rachel Matney has enjoyed living in Rice County much of her life. Rachel has worked in a variety of consulting and strategy roles, while also volunteering with non-profits. Rachel is a founding partner of a small consulting firm that lets her enjoy life walking around Northfield with her husband and dog - interspersed with visits from her adult children, brief jaunts to collaborate with clients and fun travel to new places.
1) What motivates you to serve on the board for Rice County Area United Way?
I serve on the United Way board to support the amazing organizations that make Rice County such a great place to live.
2) What's one of your favorite places in Rice County? Why is it your favorite?
I love being outside- most often at the Carleton arboretum or St. Olaf Natural Lands, but we also love exploring around Valley Grove and Nerstrand.
3) Share what excites you most about our United Way.
I am excited about how easy United Way makes it to support local organizations doing great work with our neighbors.
