1) What motivates you to serve on the board for Rice County Area United Way?
- Since moving to Northfield approximately one year ago, I have been searching for a way to truly give back. United Way Rice County motivates my sincere desire to give back and help build a more connected community. For me, serving on the board is an opportunity to be an active part of the collective effort that makes Rice County a supportive home for everyone.
2) What's one of your favorite places in Rice County?
- Skinner Memorial Chapel at Carleton College. It is such a remarkably peaceful space. I love the quiet stillness of the interior and the way the light filters in through the beautiful stained glass windows. Whether I am there for a program or just passing through on my way to a meeting, it is my favorite place to pause and recharge.
3) Share what excites you most about our United Way.
- What excites me most is United Way’s deep roots and its rich history of creating lasting change. It is inspiring to be part of an organization that doesn't just address immediate needs but works steadily to build a stronger, more resilient future for the entire county.
