Matt Forster is the COO of Carpathian Capital Management, a real estate investment firm. He has held executive positions in 3 other startups, specializing in operations, delivery, and projection management. Matt has served the Rice County community in numerous ways, most recently as a board member for the Community Action Center. He currently volunteers as the head coach of Carleton College's DIII men's ultimate frisbee team.
1) What motivates you to serve on the board for Rice County Area United Way?
The mission statement - "to mobilize the resources and caring power of individuals, organizations, and networks to strengthen the community" speaks to me. I am eager to contribute to, and learn from, the community.
2) What's one of your favorite places in Rice County? Why is it your favorite?
Hillcrest Village - I was part of the team at the Northfield CAC that brought this from vision to reality.
3) Share what excites you most about our United Way.
I am excited to get connected to the many small organizations the United Way serves.
