What motivates you to serve on the board for Rice County Area United Way?
The work of the Rice County Area United Way provides support to so many people and important organizations in our community. I hope that I can provide support to ensure these critical services continue. The longer I serve on the board, the more I learn about the incredible work nonprofits are doing to make Rice County a great place for ALL people to live.
What’s your favorite place in Rice County?
Nerstrand Big Woods. I love hiking to the hidden falls, walking through the woods, and seeing the spring flowers. I have lots of other favorites as well–St. Olaf College, the Carleton Arb, Books on Central in Faribault, the Dundas Dukes baseball field, and the bike trails in Northfield, Dundas and Faribault. Rice County is a great place to live!
What excites you about United Way?
I have found the board members and staff of our United Way to be super people who are committed to their communities. I'm excited to continue working with such a great group of people!
