1) What motivates you to serve on the board for Rice County Area United Way?
My parents instilled in me the importance of being part of a community and volunteering whenever I had the opportunity. I have long admired the United Way as a global organization and projects such as literacy, so when the opportunity came to serve on the board I jumped at the chance.
2) What's one of your favorite places in Rice County? Why is it your favorite?
My wife and I are relatively new to the area, so we haven't had the time to explore but we really enjoy taking walks around nature trails and along the river in Faribault where we live.
3) Share what excites you most about our United Way.
I am excited to work with a talented and motivated Executive Director and her staff, along with my fellow board members. I particularly enjoyed the Dolly Bash and I am exited to support local organizations that are seeking grants that will directly impact the communities that our United Way serves.
